Business litigation and family law matters
I have been retained as an expert for over 35 years in a wide variety of complex business litigation matters, particularly when economic damages have been alleged from diversion, concealment, and other misappropriation of income and assets, and other actions have been alleged involving such issues as contract disputes, partner/shareholder disputes, professional malpractice, breaches of fiduciary duties, standards of care, fraudulent activities, and other issues that have allegedly resulted in financial harm. Additionally, I have been retained as an expert in family law matters when issues have involved allegations of understatement of income from one or more sources, overstatement of expenses, comingling of separate funds and/or other assets with community funds and/or other assets, marital waste, and diversion, concealment or misappropriation of marital assets and other undisclosed activities, often uncovered by my performing forensic accounting procedures. When a business or an interest in a business constitutes part of the marital estate, then often having a business valuation is indicated and I will value the business or a spouse’s interest therein.
